I wasn't sure if this cot would really support a 50 year old who probably has more weight than desired, but it does! It's a comfortable night's sleep and is super easy to set up and take down. The mattress is separate and much thinner than I imagined. It doesn't fold up with the cot. A storage space will be needed for the mattress as well as the cots. I think the cot would sleep fine without the mattress, but it's nice to have, and it does come with it. I bought this for camping, but it's perfect for sleepovers or for taking on a trip. We use it for a little of everything. I would buy again for sure.The product was hard, and the pad did not improve comfort. That is why I could not give it a 5 star.Worked great until my child put their knee down first when getting into bed and the framing collapsed. She is 200lbs less than the limit. That's not cool. But when it was working it was an awesome alternative to more permanent furniture as we lost our home and have to been boarding w friends.
